NortheastMart is a website that lists Northeast shops so you can find their products and order from them. It is run by NortheastMart. By using it you agree to these terms.

You buy from the shop

Every product is sold by the shop shown on it. When you order, the sale is between you and that shop. NortheastMart is not the seller and does not own, stock or deliver the products. Prices, photos and descriptions come from the shop.

Ordering and paying

• The shop checks stock and weighs items sold by the kilo, then confirms your order and the final amount. If something changes, you see it before you pay and can cancel.
• You pay the shop directly by UPI after it confirms. The money goes to the shop's own UPI ID. NortheastMart does not receive, hold or refund payments, and will never ask you to pay it.
• If an order is not paid by the time shown, it is cancelled and the items go back on sale.

Delivery, returns and refunds

The shop arranges delivery and tells you the delivery charge and who you pay it to. Returns, refunds, replacements and questions about quality are handled by the shop. If a shop does not respond, tell us and we will follow up with the shop.

Using the site fairly

Please give correct details when you order. Do not place orders you don't mean, use someone else's details, try to get into accounts that are not yours, try to break or overload the site, or copy its content in bulk. We may block orders or connections that misuse the site.

For shops

• Shops are responsible for their listings (products, prices, photos and descriptions), for licences their products need (such as FSSAI for food) and for any tax on their sales.
• Shops must honour the orders they confirm, deliver as promised and handle returns and refunds fairly.
• Shops may use customers' details only to fulfil and support their orders, and must keep them safe.
• Shops pay NortheastMart's fees as shown on their Fees page. We may remove a listing or switch off a shop that breaks these terms.

What can't be sold

These can't be listed on NortheastMart:

• Alcohol of any kind, including home-made rice beer, wine and spirits.
• Meat, skins or parts of wild animals and birds (forest meat or bushmeat), and anything from protected plants or animals.
• Tobacco, gutkha, betel products with tobacco, cigarettes and vapes.
• Medicines, and food or remedies sold with health or cure claims.
• Fake or copied brands, and goods the shop has no right to sell.
• Anything else that is illegal to sell in India.

If a product breaks these rules, we hide it and tell the shop why; the shop can't put it back. For serious or repeated cases we may switch off the shop. If you see something that shouldn't be here, tell us.

Our responsibility

We work to keep NortheastMart running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for the products, for what a shop does or doesn't do, or for delivery. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under Indian consumer protection law.

Complaints

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within a month.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Mumbai have jurisdiction. If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new date.
